Introducing SOEK™…Redesigning Modern & Sustainable Eyewear 

Founded in 2019 by friends Mia & Lize, this Australian brand has enjoyed outstanding growth over the past 5 years, with their signature range of eco-friendly sunglasses and reading glasses now being stocked in over 1500 stores across Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.  

The team at SOEK™ is looking forward to exciting times ahead following their recent launch in the UK. 

Designed in their sunny studio on the East Coast of Australia and now distributing from their UK warehouse, the co-founders are passionate about creating a range of products where style, sustainability and affordability go hand in hand.  

Each frame is made from high-quality sustainable materials including recycled plastic, plant-based Castor Seed Oil and 100% sustainable timber from FSC accredited suppliers. All SOEK™ sunglasses are fitted with premium UV400 Polarised lenses. 

With a strong emphasis on creating high quality eyewear with a small environmental footprint, SOEK™ works with leading material suppliers to create thoughtfully designed eyewear at an accessible price point.

SUSTAINABILITY

SOEK was born out of a desire to create design-driven, affordable eyewear with the message of sustainability at its core. 

Our frames are thoughtfully designed with the environment in mind.  We work with the best material suppliers around the world to ensure our products are not only high quality but also leave a smaller environmental footprint. 

For us this process begins with sourcing 100% sustainable timber from FSC accredited suppliers. Each frame is thoughtfully made using a combination of recycled materials and handcrafted with environmentally friendly processes from durable hardwoods such as maple, ebony and walnut. All of the natural materials used are renewable and free from harmful or toxic elements. We also have spot checks and quality control in place to ensure SOEK® manufacturing continues to adhere to these standards. 

Our Castor Seed Sunnies are 100% plant based, eco-friendly sunglasses made from Castor Oil Seeds.  Castor Seed Plants require very little water and pesticides to grow which makes them a perfect choice for a sustainable material that also looks and feels amazing.  The materials used in our Castor Seed Sunnies are natural and renewable. 

Here at SOEK® we are constantly looking at ways we can improve on the way we do things in order to be as sustainable as possible while also doing our best to give back to help create a better world.  From our materials and factories to our packaging and our giving partner it’s a huge operation that is well worth it.  Thank you for sharing this journey with us.

Our Product Standards

Our sunglasses and reading glasses are designed to suit most face shapes and sizes and fitted with high quality spring-loaded hinges to ensure each pair of our lightweight shades will stretch to your face size and sit comfortably. 

With our range of colours, shades of wood and different lens tints your biggest problem will be deciding which one to choose! We also have our LITTLE SOEK® range of adventure ready sunglasses specifically designed for children.  

All of our lenses have been sent for independent testing by a NATA-Accredited Calibrations and Testing Laboratory to ensure we comply with standards worldwide. 

Our lenses are polarised and UV400 (100% UVA/UVB) and adhere to Category 3 High Protection against sun glare. This is further backed by the feedback from our customers as well as our sponsored athletes and professional fishermen who have personally tested the quality and clarity of our lenses!
